About Us
This website offering bespoke shirts online is a product of a partnership that was formed in 2013 between the master tailor and owner of Vinai Tailor, Khun Vinai Kamolkasemsilp, and his long time and loyal customer Khun Totsachai Asvinvichit. Khun Totsachai saw the opportunity to offer bespoke services online after spotting successful websites doing so in the UK and Thailand. Building on its reputation and trust among its mainly Thai customers, today the Vinai Tailor team hopes to be able to offer completely handmade and high quality shirts to discerning customers all over the world.
Khun Vinai, owner of the tailor shop bearing his name, feels perfectly at ease with the bespoke world. His father was a shirt-maker and the son, born in 1953 in Bangkok, Thailand, started the trade at thirteen. Less than ten years later, in 1975, at the age of twenty-two, Khun Vinai set up his own tailor shop in central Bangkok. Today, with almost fifty years of shirt-making experience, Khun Vinai is highly praised for his craftsmanship and his eyes for getting the perfect fit. The high quality handmade work is evident in the fine stitching and exquisite buttonholes. Khun Vinai and his team of shirt makers still work out of the same four-storey traditional shophouse of thirty years ago. His customers naturally have included domestic and international businessmen, celebrities, lawyers and politicians.
Khun Vinai, who is also the cutter, will supervise from start to finish every step of the shirt and suit making process. His sixteen craftsmen will make sure that every little demand of the customer is met.
Khun Vinai has a preference for fabrics from Italy and the UK for our clothing items:
